in memoriam
JIM DOUGLASFor decades, Jim Douglas was good friend to Pat, Peter and Judy and was Peter’s long-time law partner. In 1990, Jim joined Clallam County on bass, sharing our aspiration to remain “Seattle’s Slowest Rising Folk Group,” performing original and delusional songs throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Jim was central in urging us to record our third CD, Still Rising in 2015. Jim died in April, 2017 after a long illness and his is sorely missed. Now, each time we gather to sing, Jim is there, singing with us. |
KRISTI MCINTYREPat’s wife Kristi began singing with Clallam County in 1984, adding her distinctive harmony to many of our songs. She was a frequent performer in our early shows at the Northwest Folklife Festival. Kristi sang with Clallam County until her death in 1993.
You can hear Kristi's harmonies in some of the previously unreleased recordings featured on our 2018 release, Clallam County: Originals, which were recorded live in 1991 at the Nordic Heritage Museum in Seattle. |
